Omnicomm configuration

Omnicomm is a single threaded process that polls all remotes that it is responsible for in a single processing loop. To allow for more concurrent processing, it may be necessary to increase the number of Omnicomm processes to meet the desired poll cycle per remote.
Generally, there should be no more than two Omnicomm processes running per CPU core on the RealTime server. This is to ensure the processes are not thrashing against each other waiting for CPU time. Each Omnicomm will consume some CPU, and if too many Omnicomms are running, the net effect will result in less efficiency, less performance, and more CPU utilization from the Omnicomms fighting for CPU time.
Important: Ensure that sufficient CPU capacity is available for the rest of the processes hosted on the same server.
