The system invokes the PreCustomEditValidator element after an Administrator opens a record. The Advanced Database Editor (ADE) uses this element to evaluate column values and mark those columns in error. For example, the plmvoldevice form performs pre-validation through the custom DoIt assembly method.
<DataSetTable
Name="plmvoldevice"
Description="Pipeline Monitor Volume Device"
IsDeleteDisabled="false"
IsAutoGenDisabled="false"
IsInsertDisabled="true"
LabelDisplayWidth="70"
DataDisplayWidthMin="100"
DataDisplayWidthMedium="200"
DataDisplayWidthMax="400">
<PreCustomEditValidator
Assembly="OASySDNA.LMS.LMSDBEditHelperForms"
Class="PLMPreValidate"
Method="DoIt" />
. . .
</DataSetTable>
