The Point Commissioning Verification Summary displays all the points that have the Commissioning Required flag set. This summary allows you to easily identify which points are ready for commissioning and provides direct access to the Point Verification Control dialog box and the <table> Control dialog box.

To commission a point using the Point Commissioning Verification Summary

  1. From the Navigation Menu (NAVMENU), select Summaries > System Maintenance.

The Point Commissioning Verification Summary window appears.

Note: By default, the Point Commissioning Verification Summary will display points from all the analog, rate, status, multistate, rtstring, tank, pump, and valve tables.

  2. Select the Station checkbox, and select (...) to limit the search to points from the selected station.

Note: If the Station checkbox is not selected, then points from all stations will be displayed.

  3. Select the Remote checkbox, and select (...) to limit the search to points from the selected remote.

Note: If the Remote checkbox is not selected, then points from all remotes will be displayed.

  4. Select the analog, rate, status, multistate, rtstring, tank, pump, and/or valve checkbox(es) to filter the points. Selecting a table checkbox will include the points for that table in the search. If a table checkbox is left cleared, the points from that table will be ignored.

For example, selecting the analog checkbox will include points from the analog table in the search. If this checkbox is left cleared, points from the analog table will be ignored.

  5. In the Test Mode dropdown menu, select one of the following test mode options to limit the search:

    • All โ€” all points are displayed

    • Active โ€” only points in test mode are displayed

    • Inactive โ€” only points not in test mode are displayed

Note: Points listed as in test mode are in a test mode filtering state (flag.testmode is TRUE).

  6. Select Search.

Based on the criteria (that is, checkboxes) you selected for the search, the table of available points for commissioning will be filtered.

  7. Set the commissioning information for all the points you want to commission during this session:

    • Select from the Verification Reason dropdown menu to select the reason for verification from the available options: Display Change, SCADA Database Change, PLC/RTU Field Device Change, or Initial Commissioning.

    • Enter the physical location of the point in the Physical Location field.

    • Select the name* of the person who verified the physical location from the Phys. Loc Verified By dropdown menu.

    • Select the name of the user logged on to the system from the SCADA Verified dropdown menu.

    • Select the name* of the person responsible for retrieving the field value entered in the Field Value field from the Field Verified dropdown menu.

    • Select the name* of the person who approved the Field Value from the Approved By dropdown menu.

    • Enter a brief description of the method used to test alarms on this point in the Alarms Test Method field.

    • Select the Simulated checkbox if some method other than reading the actual value is used to perform the test.

    • Enter the number of the maintenance system containing commissioning or calibration information in the MOC # field.

    • Enter any comments about this verification record in the Comments field.

*Any available names in the Phys. Loc. Verified By, Field Verified, and Approved By fields come from the On Call database if your system is configured with the On Call database. Any name can be entered into these fields regardless of what names appear in the dropdown menu. For further information, refer to On Call.

Note: The names are stored independent of the On Call database. If, for example, an employee leaves the company, an Administrator will likely remove his name from the On Call database. The former employee's name, however, remains attached to the results submitted to the CRM database.

  8. Optional: To add the commissioning record to an existing Test Mode Set, do the following:

    1. Select Join TestModeSet.

The Join TestModeSet dialog box appears.
