Connection configuration

Define a connection used to communicate with the import application.

For further information on the connection table, refer to volume 1 of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime Administrator documentation.

To configure a connection

1. Navigate to the Main tab in the connection Row Edit dialog box.

   

2. In the Protocol field, select XMLPROTO.

3. Navigate to the Scan Edit tab in the connection Row Edit dialog box.

   

4. In the Comm. Mode field, select Host Poll.

5. Navigate to the Physical Connection Edit tab in the connection Row Edit dialog box.

   

6. Enter the Port Number associated with the import application used:

   • Point Import - 5005

   • XML Point Import - 5003

   • Gas Contract Nominations - 5001
