Alternate Alarm Limits

This application allows you to optionally configure analog, rate, and flowTotalConfig points with multiple sets of alarm criteria.
Administrators can either set a point to use a single set of limits, or configure the point to use different sets of limits based on the state of a configured multistate point. While you can make a point use a specific set of limits, the setting is overridden if a change of state in a configured multistate point initiates a switch to a different set of limits.
To view and change the default alarm limits currently in effect for a given point, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation. The procedures below assist you with the following tasks:
-
Determining if alternative limits are in effect for a given point.
-
Viewing and modifying the attributes of active alternative limits.
-
Enabling and disabling alternative alarming on a point.
Note: Rate Reasonability alarms are not part of Alternate Alarm Limits configuration.
