The following procedure details how to browse fields.
To browse fields
-
Using one of the record names returned from browsing a table, in the Node field, enter the record name separated by a period or a dot after the table name.
For more information on browsing tables, refer to Browse tables.
-
Select Browse.
-
Expand the returned results to display the next level of information for the record (that is, the top-level field names).
The field names appear.

-
If the table has a Description field, select Attributes to view the description of the record.
Note: Some fields contain further nodes, which can also be browsed. For these items, HasChildren is selected. If the field is at the last "browsable" node (that is, a leaf topic), HasChildren is cleared.
-
Using one of the field names where HasChildren is selected, in the Node field, enter the field name to the end of the existing topic string, separated by a period or a dot.
-
Select Browse.
-
Expand the results.
-
Select Attributes to return the type information for the current field node.

-
Repeat steps 5–8 until the leaf topic is reached.
