Fail over a Systems object service

A service failover occurs when the Standby service takes control of the system and the primary service goes into Standby mode. In addition, peripheral and polling devices switch to a new primary service.
You can automatically or manually initiate a failover by using the Systems Services action menu.

Notes: This menu is specific to the arbitrated services listed under the Systems <systems object> Services node.
Automatic and manual failovers can occur for either the RealTime or Historical services. However, these services are independent, which means that one service can failover without impacting the other.
Failovers are initiated when either any critical process fails; for instance, a poll for data or Job Scheduler (JSH), or any critical device fails, such as a disk or network.
