Example: Create a template for analog points

To create a template for analog points

1. In the Advanced Database Editor (ADE), open an existing classic point that you want to use as a template.

2. Enter the name of the template in the Tag Name field. For example, analogtemplate.

3. Configure the fields on the Main tab of the classic Row Edit dialog box as desired.

   Many of these fields, such as Collection type and Data type often remain constant from record to record.

   

4. Configure the fields on the Attributes tab as shown below.

   

5. Save your changes.

6. Select the newly created template from the classic Table Edit.

7. Select Table > Export to Excel.

8. When prompted, select the directory where you want to store the template.
