Description

Suppression Method

Select one of the following suppression methods:

  • Parent Control

  • Parent Alarm

  • Transient

Configure Parent Point

Select to configure the Point Selector dialog box to add a record for the parent point.

This is not available for the Transient Suppression Method.

Configure Child Point

Select to configure the Point Selector dialog box to add a record for the child point.

The "Child Point" is the child record whose alarms you want to suppress for a parental state. When the parent’s state satisfies the conditions for the suppression, the system will not display an alarm when the child point enters a state that would otherwise trigger an alarm.
