Understanding publication routing

Publication routing, also known as a Publish Type, enables a publisher to specify a scope or route for a publication. The scope can range from very restrictive (for example, connected subscribers only) to very broad (for example, published at all levels: subscribers on the same computer, within the same system, or from different systems). The available routing or publish types are described in the next sections.
