Perform the steps below to complete your database conversion.
To complete your database conversion
-
On the Test and Development System, start the Common service.
-
On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.
Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.
-
Execute the following commands:
set-silo RealTime
savedata [-h] [-d] [-w] [#].
Where:
-
-h — provides a list of command line options.
-
-d — saves the database as a save.dat.day file.
-
-w — saves the database as a save.dat.week file.
-
# — is the number of backup files you want to make.
The savedata command will create a save.dat binary snapshot of the new (loaded) database. The original will remain accessible in %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\database\INTEL_NT directory. It will be renamed using a version identifier (save.dat.0).
-
-
Execute the following command:
loadblankdb
-
Execute the textload script (located at %DNAInstallRoot%\RealTime\scripts \text_load.csc) to restore the original data from the local .l files generated previously via the textsave.command.
-
Ensure any errors are resolved before continuing.
-
(Optional) If you are adding new protocols using the <protocol_name>_protocol.init file, proceed as follows:
-
Copy the <protocol_name>_protocol.init file to the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\database\INTEL_NT directory.
-
Execute the following commands:
dbll load %DNADataRoot%\DNA\Realtime\database\INTEL_NT\<protocol_name>_protocol.init %DNADataRoot%\DNA\Realtime\database\INTEL_NT\<protocol_name>_protocol.init.err
text_save

Execute a CreateSlotRange command by typing in the following:
createSlotRange -f <slotFileName>
Where:
-
-f <slotFileName> is a filename of the optional file that can be used to divide slot ranges. The file must contain one row for each system, formatted as follows:
<system Name> <percentage>
Where: <percentage> is an integer (for example 45), and total allocations must add up to 100.
Note: The CreateSlotRange.csc file is located in %DNAInstallRoot%\RealTime\scripts\RealTime\database.

Execute a CreateCMXRepSubscriptions command by typing in the following command: createcmxrepsubscriptions -O. The -O parameter allows old files to be overwritten. The createCmxRepSubscriptions command is used to generate the dual-host replication script files and system template files based on RealTime XML Schema information. It also creates system specific replication scripts files based on the automatic and manually created system template files.
