Modify the simulation configuration file for the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) Player

You can modify the default simulation configuration for the RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) Player using the following procedure.

Note: You can also create a new user-defined simulation configuration file for the RTU Player in the %DNADataRoot%\Tools\config\VirtualRTU folder using the RTU Composer. For more information, refer to Create a simulation configuration file.

To modify the default simulation configuration file for the RTU Player

1. Navigate to the %DNAInstallRoot%\Tools\config\VirtualRTU folder.

2. Copy the simconfig.xml file to the %DNADataRoot%\Tools\config\VirtualRTU folder.

3. From the %DNADataRoot%\Tools\config\VirtualRTU folder, open the simconfig.xml file.

4. Update the parameters as required.

5. Save the file.

6. Run the RTU Player.
