Network Management Console (NMC) monitoring

The Network Management Console (NMC) provides the interface which allows you to monitor Computer, Service, and Process states by observing icons.

The NMC displays the results reported by automated monitors such as Process Monitors and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) monitors such as the disk and physical memory monitors.

Monitoring can be divided as follows:

• System, Service, Computer, and Process States.

• Process Monitoring (that is, the process monitor service).

• WMI monitors under Common: Disks, Physical Memory, Health State.

Each monitor is a component or snap-in with the NMC. Monitors primarily use the PubSub to communicate the state of individual AVEVA Enterprise SCADA components.

Most monitors are event driven and update as a service changes.
