In some scenarios, it is possible that an Area of Responsibility (AOR) Group or Area will be accidentally duplicated. In these cases, the duplicate entry must be removed manually by an Administrator following the procedure below.

To resolve conflicts with the Area of Responsibility (AOR) groups and areas

  1. Open the Network Management Console (NMC) on the computer that is configured to receive data from the other domain.

  2. Right-click System > Properties > Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) Cross Domain Replication.

  3. Clear the Enabled checkbox under Receiving AD LDS Data.

  4. Close the NMC, and then re-open it.

  5. Select the affected AOR Group or AOR Area.

  6. Right-click the duplicated entry that uses the following syntax: <original name> + CNF: <objectGuid>.

  7. Delete the affected Group or Area.

  8. Right-click System > Properties > AD LDS Cross Domain Replication.

  9. Select the checkbox for Enabled under Receiving AD LDS Data if it was previously selected.

  10. Close the NMC.
