Configure Datapump in a single Historical scenario

In a single Historical scenario, several owning systems collect information into a single Microsoft SQL Server instance. In a typical scenario, this system would not contain a RealTime service and thus would not have any distributed Enterprise SCADA privileges (that is, ownership of any of the RealTime datasets). As such, this requires datapump to be configured using dataset interest that specifies datasets that the destination systems are interested in.

For more information on configuring a single Historical scenario, refer to Configure a single Historical scenario.

The example in this section details how to transfer data to and from the primary Microsoft SQL Server (system mcc) and the secondary Microsoft SQL Server (system bcc) by editing the installdp1Config4_DOAS.sql file.

For more information on populating the DPOwningSystems table, refer to Configure the installdp1Config4_DOAS SQL file.

Note: In this scenario, assume the global dataset id is 1 and the datasets used between the subordinate systems are 2 and 3.

To edit the installdp1Config4_DOAS.sql file

  1. Navigate to %DNADataRoot%\Historical\config\applicationsql\DataPump\<SystemName>\installdp1Config4_DOAS.sql.

  2. For the primary system (mcc), locate the DPDatasetInterest table section, and configure the desired dataset.

/****** PUT PROJECT SPECIFIC CONFIG HERE *****/

/* insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    ** values('<systemName>', <doas_datasetNum>, 1) */

    insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    values('bcc', 1, 1)

    insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    values('bcc', 2, 1)

    insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    values('bcc', 3, 1)

    go

  3. Repeat the configuration performed in step 2 for the secondary system (bcc).

/****** PUT PROJECT SPECIFIC CONFIG HERE *****/

/* insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    ** values('<systemName>', <doas_datasetNum>, 1) */

    insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    values('mcc', 1, 1)

    insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    values('mcc', 2, 1)

    insert into DPDatasetInterest(system, dataset, activeInterest)

    values('mcc', 3, 1)

    go
