To configure the Asset Management Base URL a link record must be created. The link Row Edit dialog box is opened through the link table in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For more information relating to ADE and the link table, refer to RealTime tables.
To configure an Asset Management base URL
-
In ADE, select View > System.
-
Do one of the following:
-
Expand the link table.
-
Double-click the table row to open the link Row Edit dialog box to create a new record.
The link Row Edit dialog box appears.

-
-
In the Name field, enter AssetManagementBaseUrl.
Note: The name entered must be AssetManagementBaseUrl. If another name is entered, the Business Logic Tier (BLT) will be unable to find the link record and an error will occur when the Controller attempts to launch a URL.
-
Optional: In the Description field, enter a description of the record.
-
In the URL field, enter a base URL starting with http:// or https://. The Asset Management Base URL may contain variables that will be automatically substituted by the system before opening the URL on the associated Console Endpoint. An example entry into the URL field would appear as the following: http://assets.company.com/assets/ui/?event=loadapp&value=operatorwo&additionalevent=insert&additionaleventvalue=location={{AssetLocation}}|enbrtaplocation={{PointName}}|enbrtapenv={{SystemName}}
Where:
-
{{AssetLocation}}is the Asset ID Location of the point in the RealTime Database (RTDB).
-
{{PointName}} is the name of the point in the RTDB.
-
{{SystemName}} is the RTDB system name that is launching the Asset Management Work Order.
For more information on the Asset Management BLT, refer to the Tools Developer documentation. For more information on configuring the Console Endpoint, refer to Configuring the Console Endpoint (consoleEndpoint) Record.
