Create records to group Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) events and alarms

- 1 minute read
Follow this procedure to use proto_event_grp records to group together event messages uploaded from the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) based upon protocol type, device type, message type, or any other logical grouping.
Note: A remote record can only make use of one proto_event_grp record for event messages and a second proto_event_grp record for alarm type messages.
Proto_event_grp records are stored in the proto_event_grp table, and are created and edited using the proto_event_grp Row Edit dialog box within the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE and how to create records, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation.
To create records to group RTU events and alarms
-
In ADE, select View > Gas Operations.
-
Navigate to the proto_event_grp Row Edit dialog box.

-
In the Name field, enter the name of a proto_event_group with which to group together event messages (proto_event records).
Note: The Fisher Remote Operations Controller (ROC)/Fisher Remote Operations Controller (ROC) Plus Driver with Configurable Gas Load (CGL) for OASyS only requires a proto_event_group record with a single, associated proto_event record.
-
