Before You Begin

Ensure that Visual Studio with the Visual C++ developer workflow is installed on the computer.

To prepare the Olson time zone builder zic executable

  1. Copy the existing time zone files from %InstallDir%\Shared\sdk\3rdParty\ZoneInfo\ to %DataDir%\Shared\sdk\3rdParty\ZoneInfo\.

  2. Build %DataDir%\Shared\sdk\3rdParty\ZoneInfo\zic\zic.sln.

    %DataDir%\Shared\bin\Zic.exe is ready to build an updated Olson database.
