Sub-Remote Status Indicator

This application flags data as stale when polling through a concentrator if the concentrator itself indicates that points have gone stale.
When communicating through a data concentrator, RealTime points remain fresh so long as the concentrator responds to queries appropriately. If the concentrator loses communication with the field device, this leads to incorrect data quality. Controllers may mistakenly believe they are looking at fresh data, when in reality the values are not being polled. To avoid such a situation, Administrators set a status point in the concentrator or protocol converter device to indicate whether the data in the concentrator is valid for a specific sub-remote. This status point then drives the data quality for the analog, rate, status, multistate, rtstring, and tank points polled from the host for that sub-remote.
Note: Controllers should be informed that Sub-Remote Status Indicator may be responsible for points being stale even though the remote/FEP is functioning normally (in other words, if points are stale, check that the Sub-Remote Status Indicator value is correct).
