Translate protocol messages via the SWANA enhancement

To translate protocol messages via the Software Analyzer (SWANA) enhancement

1. On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.

   Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.

2. Execute the following commands:

   set-silo Tools

   dnaSwana

3. Press Enter.

   The Software Analyzer (SWANA) Main window opens.

   

4. Select a connection for analysis, as described in volume 1 of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime Administrator documentation.

5. Put the SWANA Main window into the play state.

   The SWANA Main window updates with data in a raw Remote Terminal Unit (RTU)/BIN format (see below).

   

6. Select the Translate button to translate future polled data into an easy to read and understand format (see below).
