Export a file

Exporting a file saves a file to the file system without updating the RealTime database (RTDB) or causing the Application Calculation Engine (ACE) to do any code compiling. This is useful for saving versions of the code or saving templates that can be used for future development. Below is a procedure that explains the process of exporting a file to the file system.

1. Select File > Export from the menu.

   This opens the Save As dialog box.

2. Choose from the following:

• Choose an existing file to overwrite.

  OR

• Provide a unique file name.
