GetYMinMax

  • Last UpdatedJul 05, 2024
  • 1 minute read

The function of this Business Logic Tier (BLT) is to specify the point path from which the maximum and minimum y-axis values are derived.

Syntax

GetYMinMax <dataset>

The column format of the <dataset> parameter is:

Parameters

Dataset Column Name

Dataset Column Type

Description

YAxisName

string

This parameter indicates the name of the trend/plot y-axis under consideration.

PenName

string

This parameter indicates the name of the pen associated with the specified y-axis

PointPath

string

This parameter indicates the point path from which the maximum and minimum y-axis values are derived.

Note: There can be more than one pen associated with any given y-axis. While not used in the default version of GetYMinMax, this column facilitates a level of project customization should it become necessary for any given project to override or replace default functionality.

Comments

Currently, the BLT automatically retrieves minimum and maximum values for status, analog, rate, and multistate point types. If customization is required, the BLT must be replaced with the custom version, and the parameter and results dataset column definitions must be honored.
