The first step in setting up alarm bracketing involves creating an almbracketset record. This record serves to group together bracket points along a section of pipeline. Controllers can re-bracket the collection of points under a bracket set.

Almbracketset records are stored in the almbracketset table, and configured and edited using the almbracketset Row Edit dialog box within Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE and how to create records, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation.

To create an Alarm Bracket Set:

  1. From the Advanced Database Editor (ADE), select View > Realtime and open the almbracketset Table Edit dialog box.
