Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.
To enable the display change tracking functionality, the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA configuration settings JSON file for the RealTime and ManagementOfChange products will need to be modified. The JSON file is installed to the following locations, but must be copied and configured in the %DNADataRoot%, as described above:
-
%DNAInstallRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings\ManagementOfChange.json
-
%DNAInstallRoot%\ManagementOfChange\config\Settings\ManagementOfChange.json
To enable display change tracking
-
Create or open the ManagementOfChange.json file in the %DNADataRoot% locations on all servers that have these files.
-
Add or edit the registry override ManagementOfChangeSourceDisplayFilePathPrefix, and set it to the location of the display repository.
On a zone that is deploying changesets (that is, Production), this will typically be the display repository share location. For example:
\\<DisplayServer>\DNA_Shared_Elements
Where <DisplayServer> is the display source computer.
On a development zone (that is, where displays are being added to a changeset), this will be the file path on the local server (not a share). For example:
%DNADataRoot%\Shared\elements
Note: The default path is %DNADataRoot%\Shared\elements. If the displays are located in a location other than the default path or the display repository share, you must grant Write and Modify permissions to the DNA Apps group for this folder.
The following example shows the content of the configuration settings JSON file:
{
"ManagementOfChange": {
"ManagementOfChangeSourceDisplayFilePathPrefix": "\\\\DisplayServer\\DNA_Shared_Elements",
}
}
