RealTimeField Class

The RealTimeField Class represents a field inside a RealTime table. It exposes all the properties relevant to a field.

The following functionality is exposed through this class:

• Bind a RealTimeField with a RealTimeTable object.

• Get Offset, Field Kind, and Ultimate Real Type properties.

• Whether a field is a key, key number, and whether it is a unique key.

• Whether read and write are enabled (AllowReadsAndWrites property). Whenever you create a field, which is an array of structure, and you do not mention an explicit field name from the structure, then read and write will not be allowed through normal read and write functions. For example, the broadcast field inside the Connection table is an array of the Broadcast_entry structure, so the proper field name would be broadcast[1].last_sent. However, if you use just broadcast as the field name for binding with a RealTimeField object, the field will be created and you can read, write or clear a whole array or structure by using ReadField(), WriteField(), and ClearField().
