The Protocol Pass-Through Interface allows third-party end user applications access to Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) data with the use of their native protocols.

The end user application formats and processes the protocol messages, while the Pass-Through Interface routes the end-user-defined messages through the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA communication subsystem.
