To view a list of alarm procedures

  1. From the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) Navigation Menu, select System Displays > Alarms.

  2. Select an alarm.

The Alarm Control dialog box appears.

Note: For alarms that do not have operational procedures associated with them, Operational Procedures is disabled. If Operational Procedures is enabled and the associated procedures fail to load, an error message stating no procedures available is triggered.

  3. Select Operational Procedures.

The Operational Procedures dialog box appears.

  4. Optional: If multiple operational procedures are returned, use the text box at the top of the Operational Procedures dialog box to filter the list of operational procedures.

  5. Optional: If multiple operational procedures are returned and you wish to make only one procedure selection, select the pin icon to disable multiple selections.

    The pin icon becomes horizontal.

Note: If only one operational procedure is returned, this step is unnecessary, because in the event of a single returned procedure, the default for the pin icon is set to single selection.

  6. Select an operational procedure.

A launch notification is displayed on the Business Console as the browser window appears. The selected operational procedure appears on the Business Console as defined by the consoleEndpoint table. If a Business Console is not configured, an error will occur and the operational procedure will not launch. For more information on configuring a Business Console, refer to volume 1 of the RealTime Administrator documentation.

    • If only one operational procedure was returned, the Operational Procedures dialog box closes.

    • If multiple operational procedures were returned and step 5 was performed, the Operational Procedures dialog box closes.

    • If multiple operational procedures were returned and step 5 was not performed, the Operational Procedures dialog box remains open.

Note: Prior to launching the operational procedure, the AdminPager validates the requested URL to ensure that the URL is well formed. If the URL is well formed, a message is displayed indicating the procedure to be opened, for example, Opening Procedure 'Fire Procedure'. If the URL is not well formed, then an error message is displayed, for example, Error: Procedure 'Fire Procedure' has an invalid URL.

  7. Optional: If additional procedure selection is desired, repeat step 6.

Note: Multiple operational procedures cannot be selected simultaneously. Each operational procedure must be selected individually. A launch notification will appear for each selected operational procedure, and a check mark will indicate the previously launched operational procedures.

  8. Optional: To stop additional operational procedure selections, do one of the following:

    • Before selecting the final operational procedure, select the pin icon, and repeat step 6.

    • Make no operational procedure selection, and close the Operational Procedures dialog box.
