Verify the updated path for a renamed record

After a point name change and prior to any further changes on a trendset record (for example, granularity or window size or new pen addition), you must verify if the pen path has been updated automatically to the path that is using the new name.  

Before you begin

• The desired point must be included in a trendset record and saved.

To verify the updated pen path of a renamed point

1. From the Advanced Database Editor (ADE), rename the desired point. For more information, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation.

2. From the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS), navigate to System Displays, and select Global Trendset.

   Note: If this dialog box is already open, close and reopen.

   The Global Trendset dialog box appears.

   

3. Load the desired trendset record.

4. Select Edit.

   The Global Trend Edit dialog box appears.

   

5. In the Pen Path field, verify the point has been automatically changed to a new path that is using the new point name.

   Any other operations, such as resizing window or changing the granularity, can be performed now and saved successfully.
