Receiving systems

Any object type that is configured to receive Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) information from another system will have a limited set of context menu items and enabled properties. The only property modification that can be performed is the adjustment of memberships (e.g. changing Windows members, as they are local to the domain). Context menu items are shown at the receiving system, based on the replication type (periodic update or update only when requested) so that the user can request an updated data from the sending system.
Note: The Network Management Console (NMC) context items that force AD LDS replication are added only when a system is configured as an AD LDS Cross Domain Replication sender and/or receiver.
The NMC does not automatically refresh the display; it must be manually refreshed in order to see recent updates that occurred due to replication or changes made using other NMC sessions. When the Request Recent Updates or Receive a Snap-shot action items are used, the NMC will wait a short time to receive the updates then refresh the data at that folder node. However, if a different folder node (e.g. AOR Group) has received replicated updates, then the other folder node should be manually refreshed using its Refresh action menu before looking at the folder node contents.
