You can use the Rename option on the action menu to change the name of the selected object. Follow the procedure outlined below on using this option.

Before you begin

Note: The Rename option is only enabled if you have sufficient permissions (that is, the same restrictions as the New context menu item).

To change the name of an object

  1. Right-click the entity to open the right pane of the Network Management Console (NMC) context menu.

  2. Select Rename.

  3. Enter the new name in the field.

  4. Press Enter.
