Communication timeouts

A no-reply timeout period is configured for all Remote Terminal Units (RTUs). If an RTU does not communicate within that period, an alarm is generated.
The system reports most types of communication failures as soon as they occur (for example, security error, illegal message, short message). However, if the remote fails to communicate, the system generates a no-reply alarm if the failure lasts for longer than the no-reply timeout period.
