Understanding โ.NET Client

A .NET Client class is used to execute Business Object Components created with Microsoft Visual C# or Visual Basic (VB).
Visual C# and Visual Basic are intermediate compiled languages. The compiler produces Intermediate Language (IL) code that is interpreted by the .NET Framework Common Language Runtime (CLR). The files produced are executable files (.exe), or if appropriately configured, dynamically loaded libraries (.dll). The executables are compiled to run under the Microsoft .NET Framework.
Before you can create a business object client, the Common product, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET (Professional, Enterprise, or Architect), and the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Visual Studio.NET Wizard must be available to you.
You will need to create a Business Object Client before you can:
-
Create a client Graphical User Interface (GUI) application.
-
Use the OASyS DNA.NET Business Object Client class.
-
Use Microsoft Visual C# or VB for client creation.
