Build​.xml file

The build.xml file contains the required build targets to compile custom applications for packaging.

<ItemGroup Label="Solutions"/>

The Solutions item group contains an optional list of solution(s) for compiling, and defines the solution build order if more than one solution exists.

<PropertyGroup Label="Configuration" />

The Configuration property group contains the product install target for the current Test and Development System.

<Target Name="Clean-Files"/>

The Clean-Files target removes all existing binaries from the %DNADataRoot%\<silo>\bin directory prior to compiling any custom solutions to ensure no extraneous files are packaged into the deployment MSI.

<Target Name="Copy-Files"/>

The Copy-Files target copies all custom content to the %DNADataRoot%\<silo> folder to support development. This target ensures that any custom configuration files or related content are automatically pushed into the local product data folder without having to package/deploy an MSI during development.

<Target Name="Compile-Solutions"/>

The Compile-Solutions target builds each solution defined in the Solutions item group. For each solution, a clean, restore and build target is run to ensure all required files are available for packaging.
