Generic Import and Export

The Generic Import and Export application allows you to import external data into the RealTime database (RTDB), or export AVEVA Enterprise SCADA data to an external destination.
When the application processes an imported file, it reformats it to Extended Markup Language (XML) and places it in a specified target folder. The XMLPointImport process serves the data to RealTime via the OASyS DNA Socket Relay Service and the Omnicomm process. The imported data is "krunched" into the analog, status, multistate, and rate tables using a remote with the Extended Markup Language (XML) Protocol Driver for OASyS as if it were read from a field device. For more information on configuring the remote and the connection, and the location of the files, refer to Extended Markup Language (XML) Protocol Driver for OASyS.
The application can export analog, status, rate, and flowTotalConfig data to both internal and external destinations. You can translate exported data into virtually any format required by the end user, including the ability to translate AVEVA Enterprise SCADA tags to the end user's tag names.
Steps for Importing / Exporting Data

-
Create an ImportExportConfig record to define export process parameters.
-
(Optional) Create a dataexchange record to cross-reference AVEVA Enterprise SCADA tag names with external system tag names.
