Pipe_segment table details

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025
  • 3 minute read

The pipe_segment table is used by the Batch Tracking application. Records in the pipe_segment table define the physical characteristics of the actual pipe used to transport the fluid. The pipe_segment table contains the following internal fields:

Internal Field Name

Data Type

Description

anomtypeunexpected[0-9]

anmtypeslot

There are up to ten anomaly types that will raise alarms if they approach or enter this segment.

belven

oas_boolean_t

Set a low pressure limit for the calculated gauged pressure in the profile?

belvlim

double

The low pressure limit for the calculated gauged pressure in the profile.

bmopen

oas_boolean_t

Set a pressure threshold for Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP)?

bmoplim

double

The pressure threshold for MOP.

capacity

double

The dry capacity of the pipe segment.

dataset

doas_dset_slot

This field indicates the dataset to which the record is assigned. Datasets are used to associate the record with the privileges assigned for each system mode. Once a record is assigned to a dataset value, the dataset can only be changed to a value for which the system has a privilege record.

deltalpack

double

Delta linepack =

current cycle linepack - previous cycle linepack.

Note: If the segment serves as a stub, this field will be set to zero.

depth

double

The burial depth of the pipe segment.

disAbleMaxPressureChk

oas_boolean_t

Disable Maximum Pressure Checking for linepack calculation?

dns_pres

analogslot

The downstream pressure.

dns_temp

analogslot

The downstream temperature.

if_profile.intfc_pnt[0-39].ppnt.elevd

double

The elevation of this profile point.

flag

flags

For information on the flag structure, see Flag structure details.

flowstat

path

The name of the status point that indicates whether or not fluid is flowing through the pipe segment.

group

groupslot

This field shows the group that this point is associated with for alarming.

if_profile.intfc_pnt[0-39].ppnt.max_op_pres

double

The MOP.

if_profile.intfc_pnt[0-39].ppnt.milepost

double

The linepost value for this profile point.

inhUnexpectedAnomApproachAlarm

oas_boolean_t

Inhibit unexpected anomaly type approaching alarm.

inhUnexpectedAnomEnteredAlarm

oas_boolean_t

Inhibit unexpected anomaly type entered alarm.

inhNoReceiverApproachAlarm

oas_boolean_t

Inhibit anomaly approaching no receiver path alarm.

inhNoReceiverEnteredAlarm

oas_boolean_t

Inhibit anomaly entered no receiver path alarm.

linepack

double

Current cycle linepack.

Note: If the segment serves as a stub, this field will be set to the stub capacity.

pipeod

double

The outside diameter of the pipe segment.

pipelen

double

The length of the pipe segment.

pipewt

double

The wall thickness of the pipe segment.

prevlpack

double

Previous cycle linepack.

Note: If the segment serves as a stub, this field will be set to zero.

prevtohlpack

double

Previous Top of Hour (TOH) linepack.

Note: If the segment serves as a stub, this field will be set to zero.

revstat

path

The name of the status point that indicates whether or not the pipe segment is flowing in its reverse direction.

sfact

double

The slip factor for the pipe segment.

tohdeltalpack

double

Hourly delta linepack =

Top of Hour linepack - previous top of hour linepack.

Note: If the segment serves as a stub, this field will be set to zero.

tohlinepack

double

Top of Hour linepack.

Note: If the segment serves as a stub, this field will be set to zero.

ups_lpfilt

double

The linepack filter constant, K.

ups_pres

analogslot

The upstream pressure.

ups_temp

analogslot

The upstream temperature.

lastmass

double

The last mass recorded.

mass

double

Current cycle mass.

prevmass

double

Previous cycle mass.

deltamass

double

Delta mass =

current cycle mass – previous cycle mass.

tohmass

double

Top of Hour (TOH) mass.

prevtohmass

double

Previous Top of Hour mass.

tohdeltamass

double

Hourly delta mass =

Top of Hour mass – previous top of hour mass.
