Unlock an MoC lock on a record in an open RealTime database (RTDB) changeset

The dnachangeset Command Line Tool (CLI) can be used to release a Management of Change (MoC) lock placed on a record in a different changeset on a development system.
Note: When a record locked by MoC is unlocked, the local changes for that record are reverted, and the record is made available for edits in other changesets (including the changeset in which it was originally modified). Record inserts and deletes cannot be unlocked. Entries in a display changeset, likewise, cannot be unlocked, as they do not contain records.
To unlock an MoC lock on a record in an open RTDB changeset
-
On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.
Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.
-
Execute the following commands:
set-silo RealTime
dnachangeset unlock --type <realtime> --table <table> -keyvalue <record key to unlock>
Where:
-
--type <realtime> is mandatory for each command and describes a valid changeset type (for example, --type realtime)
Note: Entries in a display changeset cannot be unlocked as they do not contain records.
-
--table <table> is the name of the table that contains the record we would like to unlock (for example, --table analog)
-
--keyvalue <record key to unlock> is the value of the primary key for the record you would like to unlock (for example, --keyvalue testRecord)
The dnachangeset unlock command would result in the following example output for a RealTime database (RTDB) (realtime) changeset containing a realtime record update:
dnachangeset unlock --type realtime --table analog --keyvalue testRecord
2018-09-07 3:53:53 PM Record 'analog'.'testRecord' unlock is initiated by the user '<domain>\dnaDeveloper'.
2018-09-07 3:53:54 PM Rollback Changeset Entry on operation 'FieldUpdate' for 'analog.testRecord'.
2018-09-07 3:53:55 PM Record 'analog'.'testRecord' unlocked and changes reverted by the user '<domain>\dnaDeveloper'.
The dnachangeset unlock command would result in the following example output for a display changeset:
dnachangeset unlock --type display
Unlock is not supported for dnachangeset --type display.
