Fields specific to the Tag Expiry Application

Field

Description

Expiry Time

The expiry time for the tag if it's not a permanent tag. When the tag reaches its configured expiry time:

  • The system generates an alarm.

  • The tag continues to remain in effect.

The system only generates further alarms if a Controller modifies the tag.

End Time

The anticipated end time for the tag if it's not a permanent tag.

Note: This field is for informational purposes only, and is not used in tag processing.

Permanent

This field indicates whether or not the tag is a permanent tag. As the name implies, permanent tags have neither expiry times nor end times.

Priority

The priority of the alarm generated when a tag expires, as follows:

  • High: Creates an annunciated tag expiry alarm with high severity (red).

  • Medium: Creates an annunciated tag expiry alarm with medium severity (yellow).

  • Low: Creates an annunciated tag expiry alarm with low severity (green).

  • Information: Creates an annunciated tag expiry alarm with an information severity (blue).

After a tag expires, the system only generates further alarms if a Controller modifies the tag.
