Use a RealTime developer environment to perform a database conversion

The direct execution of SchemaConverter is neither required nor recommended. The RealTime Software Development Kit (SDK) contains pre-prepared example projects and solutions that automatically adjust the database structure to align with project requirements.

To extend and modify the database structure

1. Create a RealTime Developer Environment (refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Shared Components Developer documentation).

2. Create appropriate .json files containing the modifications to the RealTime Database structure inside the appropriate sub-folder in the RealTime Developer Environment (<Workspace Path>\RealTime\database\schema).

3. Execute a build and publish of the RealTime Developer Environment to build a deployable .msi package containing all required files for deployment on production systems.

   If you need to modify the database outside of a RealTime Developer Environment, the following section outlines the usage of this application.
