If you created an XML backup file of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA configuration, you can restore the setting using that file by following the procedure outlined below.

Note: Any existing objects that are not saved in the backup configuration file will be deleted.

To restore a Network Management Console (NMC) configuration

  1. Right-click OASyS DNA Config on the NMC navigation bar.

    The context menu opens.

  2. Select Restore Configuration.

  3. Navigate to the folder where the desired XML file is saved.

  4. Select Open.

  5. Select Yes on the confirmation dialog box.

It may take some time to restore the settings. The following message will be displayed in the bottom bar of NMC until the change is complete:

Restore configuration data based on an XML file, deleting any objects that aren't loaded from the file.

The pop-up title bar contains the text Replace with XML Data. This is due to the Restore Configuration setting. It will delete any existing objects that aren't contained within the loaded configuration file.
