The EditForm element allows the Administrator to call an assembly to open other forms for editing.
The attributes of the EditForm element are as follows:
-
Assembly is the name of the .NET assembly .dll file. The assembly must either be provided by the product or built by the project team. In addition, the assembly must be a valid .dll file located in either of the following folders:
-
%DNAInstallRoot%\ADE\bin
-
%DNADataRoot%\ADE\bin folder
-
-
Class is the name representing the form/dialog box defined in the assembly. For a description, open the <Assembly>.xml file and search for the <Class>.
-
Method is one of the methods defined for the class in the assembly. For a full description, open the <Assembly>.xml file and search for the <Class> and <Method>. If the method has parameters, the following code displays the available options:
<param name="<name>"></param>
All of the above attributes are required. If one of them is missing, the system generates an error message. Detailed information on the error appears in the oasErrLog.log file.

The entry in the oasErrLog.log file describes the elements that are defined or missing via the following format:
<Assembly>.<Class>.<Method>
Example
"Attempted to open custom form with missing information (assem.class.method) = (OASySDNA.DBEditHelperForms.Current.TelemetryToCollectForm.)"
In the above example, the assembly is defined as OASySDNA.DBEditHelperForms.Current, and the class is TelemetryToCollectForm. The method, however, is missing.
