Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.
An I/O rate point can be configured to receive 10-minute averages of the total number of exceptions per minute that are sent to the PI Server by the PI-OASyS interface. This does not apply to a value that has passed the exceptions for a given point.
To configure I/O rate tag
-
In the PI Server node, configure the PI Tag.
-
In the PI-OASyS interface node, assume the name of the I/O rate point is inf001.
-
Edit/Create a file called iorates.dat in \Program Files\PIPC\DAT directory.
-
Add the following line to the iorates.dat file:
:inf001, x
Where:
-
inf001 = the name of the I/O rate point.
-
x = the "EventCount" key defined in the PIOASYS.json file.
Note: The PI-OASyS interface must be stopped and restarted in order for the I/O rate tag to take effect. I/O rates will not be written to the tag until 10 minutes after the PI-OASyS interface is started.
-
-
Check the PI-OASyS interface node clock and the server node clock. They should be synchronized.
-
Ensure that the time and time zone settings on the PI Server node computer and the PI-OASyS interface node computer are correct.
Example: Create an I/O Rate Tag with the following point attribute values.
