Understanding the ordering of Views elements

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025
  • 2 minute read

The DNATreeLayoutSchemaMerge process traverses through the directories in the following order:

  1. %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\TreeLayout\Schema\baseline

  2. %DNAInstallRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\TreeLayout\Schema\baseline

  3. %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\TreeLayout\Schema\custom

  4. %DNAInstallRoot%\ADE\config\ADE\TreeLayout\Schema\custom

Baseline Directory

The baseline directory consists of the following folders.

  • ACE is the first folder under the Baseline directory. It contains two Views elements of view types:

    • ACE

    • RealTime

  • GasContractNomination contains one Views element of view type:

    • GasOperations

  • LMS contains one Views element of view type:

    • LMS

  • MeasurementOperations contains one Views element of view type:

    • GasOperations

Note: Since GasOperations already exists, nothing is added.

  • OPC contains one Views element of view type:

    • Protocols

Note: Since Protocols already exists, nothing is added.

  • Perspective contains one Views element of view type:

    • Perspective

  • PI contains one Views element of view type:

    • PI

  • RealTime contains the following Views element of view types:

    • Main

    • Alarm

    • DistribSyS

    • System

    • RealTime

Note: Since RealTime already exists, nothing is added.

Custom Directory

After traversing through the Baseline directory, the DNATreeLayoutSchemaMerge process traverses through the Custom directory. Except for the following folders, most of the folders under the Custom directory are protocol-related and do not add new view types:

  • application.CGL contains one view type:

    • CGL

  • compressor contains one view type:

    • Compressor Operations

  • ImportExport contains one view type:

    • ImportExport

When the DNATreeLayoutSchemaMerge process completes the compilation, the View menu displays the resulting order structure for the Views elements. This is the order of Views elements types as defined in the folders under the baseline and custom directories.
