Note the following in regards to SystemA route configuration:

  • SystemA is a source to SystemB.

  • SystemB will not connect to SystemA.

  • SystemA is also a destination to SystemB.

  • SystemA will connect to SystemB.

  • You only need to configure two parameters on SystemA.

To configure the two parameters on SystemA

  1. Navigate to the %DNADataRoot%\Realtime\database\cmxrepsql\systemA directory.

  2. Open the config.sys.systemB.sql file.

  3. Add the following parameters with the assigned values:

    configure route systemB set connectToDest = 1;

    configure route systemB set routeToDestEnabled = 1;

    • connectToDest = 1: SystemA is a source for SystemB. SystemB will not connect to SystemA. In order for SystemB to receive data from SystemA, SystemA connects to SystemB.

    • routeToDestEnabled = 1: When the destination SystemB depends on the source SystemA to make a connection, enable this parameter in order for SystemB to receive data.

    • There is no need to configure the connectToSource and routeToSourceEnabled parameters. The system will use the default values for these parameters.

    • As a destination system, SystemA connects to the SystemB source system.

    • As a source system, SystemA also connects to the SystemB destination system.
