Work with Log Viewing

The Network Management Console (NMC) can be used to access the Log Viewer. Logs for each silo on the computer are found in the location as follows: Network Management Console > Systems > system object > Computers > computer object > Logs > <Name of Silo>. For example, if the following silos are installed on the computer, sub-folders for each of these silos will appear under the Logs folder:

  • ADE

  • Common

  • ezXOS_11.0

  • ISPS

  • Shared

  • Tools

Note: The Network Management Console (NMC) can only access the logs of computers on the same domain. For example, if you launch NMC from any computer in the Production domain, NMC can access logs from the computers in the Production domain, but not those from computers in the Decision Support Server (DSS) domain.

If the NMC is connected to a Remote system, the Log folder in the Network Management Console (NMC) Systems > <system> > Computers folder will not be shown. Log files are only available for Local connections. For further information, refer to Connect the Network Management Console to a remote system.

The log files appear in the right pane of the display with details listed under the headers: Name, Path, Size, and Modified (date). Using the log’s navigation tree, you can navigate to the desired oasErrLog.log for your system.

Logs can be opened by double-clicking the one you want to see in the right pane of the NMC. The Log Viewer will appear in a separate window.
