Test the connection

To test the connection

• Do one of the following:

  • Select Start > Programs > PI > AboutPISDK.

  Or

  • Use the following executable files:

    • Apisnap.exe located at \Program Files\PIPC\Bin.

    • PI-SDK.exe located at \Program Files\PIPC\PISDK.

    Both tools should connect to the PI Server successfully.

  Note: If the computer has more than one IP address, then the steps in Create a trusted connection and Testing Communication must be repeated for each one.
