You must modify configuration settings before you start configuring Datapump.

Notes: When you update a configuration setting, you will need to update every Datapump host file that requires the change.

For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

The default configuration settings for Datapump are defined in the datapump.json files installed in the %DNAInstallRoot%\<silo>\config\Settings folders.

To customize Datapump, you must review the Datapump configuration settings for the following:

  • All RealTime hosts. The ENABLED key for Datapump must be configured to true to ensure that RealTime executables know that they should trigger Datapump replication. RealTime executables use the configuration defined in the RealTime silo.

  • All Historical hosts. Historical processes use the configuration defined in the Historical silo.

  • All HMI clients. The easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) considers Datapump installed if the ENABLED key for Datapump is configured to true in the Shared silo.

The following sections detail the different configuration settings for Datapump.
