Configure the Data Payload Processor (DPP) destination database for the Historical service

Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

The Data PayLoad Processor (DPP) is disabled by default. If this process is required, it must be enabled and configured to connect to the OASySHDB Microsoft SQL Server instance used by the Historical service in the system.

To enable the DPP process and configure it to connect to the destination Historical service

  1. In the %DNADataRoot%\Historical\config\Settings directory, either create or open the DataPayloadProcessor.json file.

  2. Add the following object to the DataPayloadProcessor.json file:

    {

    "DataPayloadProcessor": {

    "ENABLED": true,

    "SQLServerInstanceName": "<hostname>\\OASYSHDB"

    }

    }

    Where:

    SQLServerInstanceName defines the data server on which the DPP database is installed.

Example of a single-hosted Microsoft SQL server instance:

lspdcdssrt1\OASYSHDB

Example of a clustered Microsoft SQL server instance:

ls1pdcsqlsvr\\OASYSHDB
