The system provides a software development kit (SDK) example within the analog, status, rate, multistate, and rtstring tables. The RealTime services uses the FunctionReplicationExtension*.json file within each table to load the extension .dll file.
For example, to enable loading of the FunctionReplicationExtensionAnalog example, copy the %DNASourceRoot% \RealTime\source\ FunctionReplicationExtensionExamples\FunctionReplicationExtensionAnalog\ \ FunctionReplicationExtensionAnalog.json file to the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\settings folder.
To execute a software development kit (SDK) example
-
Restart the RealTime service.
The RealTime service loads the configured extension .dll file.
-
Create at least one analog, status, rate, multistate, or rtstring record.
-
Once the RealTime service starts up and Omicomm polls, proceed to the next step.
-
To test the code, check that a message appears in the oasErrLog.log file indicating that the system has called the injection to the transmit function.
For example:
Transmit_analogTelemertyExtension: Transmit function is called for table <tablenumber> record <recordname> with curval = <request curval value>

Refer to the sample source file for documentation and log messages printed at various steps in the example.
