AVEVA Enterprise SCADA

Create New Authority

AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Authorities are not linked to AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Permissions at the Active Directory (AD) level. Permissions exist within the Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) database. The ADAM Authorities are members of ADAM Permissions to gain AVEVA Enterprise SCADA rights. AD Authorities are created during the installation to mirror ADAM Authorities and to allow easier management of users at the AD level. AD Authorities are members of the ADAM Authorities.

Caution: Creation of new authority requires the following: (1) Network Management Console (NMC) - on any AVEVA Enterprise SCADA computer (for example, the Test and Development System) and (2) the AD Users and Computers - on the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Domain Controller (DC). Creation of new authority is performed in the ADAM / Active Directory Lightweight Services (AD LDS).
