Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.
To control ownership on the Decision Support Server (DSS), you need to create a DSS dataset that is owned by the DSS RealTime servers. This allows mode switches between primary and backup DSS servers, and indicates to Email Alarm Notification that the system is in DSS processing mode.
In addition, you must also configure the email dataset at the application level. The ownership of this dataset controls the location of email processing.
To configure the DSS email dataset
-
Create a dataset (a doas_dataset record) with the name DSS_EMAIL_DATASET.
Note: This is a recommended name. Different record names are permissible.
-
Assign ownership of the dataset to the DSS RealTime servers.
For further information, refer to DistribuSys.
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RealTime_EmailAlarming.json file.
-
In the following lines, do the following:
-
Change the "EMAIL_DATASET" value from null to DSS_EMAIL_DATASET.
-
Change th "EMAIL_TESTDATASETOWNERSHIP" value from true to false.
Note: When set to false, the DSS processes all alarms regardless of dataset ownership.
{
"RealTime": {
"EMAIL_TESTDATASETOWNERSHIP": false,
"EMAIL_DATASET": DSS_EMAIL_DATASET
}
}
-
-
Save the file.
-
Restart the RealTime service.
